Our most popular choice! Epoxy coatings offer the design freedom of stone without its high cost or upkeep. Skip the mess of tearing out old counters—let us resurface them instead. This service covers kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, and even furniture tops.
When existing surfaces are beyond repair—or you’re starting fresh with new cabinets—we fabricate brand-new tops at a reasonable price. You can also add standard or custom-sized backsplashes to complete the look.
How does resurfacing a countertop with epoxy work?
We sand down any peaks, fill in chips and seams, apply a color-matched primer, then pour a self-leveling epoxy that is spread into a seamless coating. It cures overnight into a solid, waterproof surface.
Can you match this specific color or style? Is there an up-charge?
We’ll work with you to bring the design you’re thinking of to life. From intense marble veining to subtle concrete midtones and bold metallic blends, every design is included in our base price; there are no hidden fees for “premium” colors.
Does the epoxy have a glossy finish? Can I choose matte?
The epoxy cures with a high-gloss finish, which enhances color depth. We can apply a satin or matte topcoat, which will provide additional heat and scratch protection, for a small fee.
How long will my kitchen or bathroom be out of service?
Most jobs take about a day and a half. Very large kitchens or jobs requesting full backsplashes may need an additional day.
Are there fumes or an odor?
The epoxy is low-odor and VOC-compliant, so you can be at home during the work. Some people can smell the epoxy while others cannot. However, I occasionally need to use spray paint to make certain designs which can make it smelly for a short period.
Will there be a mess?
Countertops that require a lot of sanding can get fairly dusty, and drips occur while using paints and epoxy. Fortunately, floors and cabinets are masked off before work begins and disposed of upon completion. Any remaining dust is swept up to leave the area cleaner than when work began.
Do I need to reseal or maintain the countertop?
Resealing is not necessary. Clean the surface with mild soap and water; avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals. If the surface ever becomes heavily scratched, we can add a fresh layer of topcoat to repair instead of having to start over.
Can I cut directly on the countertop?
We recommend using a cutting board. Metal knives can damage any countertop material on the market, including scratch-resistant epoxy.
Can I put hot pans from the stove or oven on the countertop?
The finish withstands brief contact up to 500 °F. However, we recommend using an insulating pads to prevent discoloration due to for excessive heat contact—just as with granite or quartz.
Is there a warranty?
Every installation comes with a 2-year workmanship warranty covering adhesion, peeling, or delamination under normal household use.
What does it cost?
Most projects price out comparably to new laminate and well below stone countertops. For a quote on your upcoming project, call or text 713-714-1223 or 713-714-1BBE today—it’s free and only takes a few minutes.
